Role description

As a Business Development Specialist, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building strategic customer partnerships, and driving sustainable business growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, potential business partners, customers to understand market needs, develop innovative business solutions, and translate market insights into commercial success. This role requires a combination of market analysis, customer engagement, project management, and strategic planning to support the Company's long-term business objectives.

Your Mission

  • Identify Market Opportunities
    Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and the Company's capabilities to identify and develop new business opportunities.

  • Build Strategic Partnerships
    Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners through effective communication, project management, and commercial collaboration.

  • Drive Business Growth
    Support sustainable revenue growth by evaluating business opportunities, conducting market analysis, and contributing to strategic business decisions.

  • Lead Innovation
    Transform customer insights, market trends, and emerging opportunities into value-added business solutions and new commercial initiatives.

  • Monitor Business Performance
    Prepare forecasts, business reports, and performance analyses to track progress, evaluate outcomes, and support continuous business improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or a related commercial role.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and support business decisions.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive initiatives independently.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

  • Professional proficiency in English is required; German language skills are an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Flavour & Fragrance or FMCG industry is preferred.

  • Experience working in a multinational or global company will be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in the tobacco and nicotine industry is an advantage.
